I believe that the original autographs of the Bible, the 39 books of the Old Testament and the 27 books of the New Testament are the verbally inspired word of God.
I believe that there is one God and Father of us all, one Holy Spirit, and one Lord – Jesus the Christ; The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are the divine godhead, each eternally co-existent and having the same divine nature, power, substance and attributes including but not limited to, omnipresence, omniscience and omnipotence.
I believe that Jesus the Christ is the one and only savior for each and every human being. That He was born of the virgin Mary, died by crucifixion on a cross at Calvary, was buried and rose from the dead on the third day, Sunday, the first day of the week.
I believe that Jesus the Christ established His Church on the first Pentecost day after His resurrection and this Church, the Church of Christ, is the kingdom of God and is the body to which all persons saved by Jesus are added.
I believe that this Church established by Jesus the Christ is not splintered into different denominations, but is inherently one; a oneness that should be preserved without contradicting or compromising the doctrine of Jesus Christ as outlined in the New Testament scriptures.
I believe that Jesus the Christ is the head of the Church and has ordained that members, Christians, are to come together for worship on the first day of every week.
I believe that the only worship acceptable to God is true worship which is achieved by a sincere heart and obedience to the way of worship prescribed in the New Testament scriptures, namely prayer, preaching, giving, singing and the communion.
I believe that the music form for true worship and commanded by Jesus is vocal – uttering words that can be understood by worshippers and that proclaim a spiritual and edifying message consistent with the New Testament scriptures.
I believe that God through the NT scriptures has forbidden Christian women from preaching and teaching the gospel to mixed assemblies of Christian men and women. Thus the teaching ministry of Christian women is limited to teaching women, children and non-Christians.
I believe that God has a divine pattern for the organization and governance of His Church and every effort should be extended to fulfill the divine pattern which is elders, evangelists/preachers/ministers, teachers and deacons.
I believe that the Holy Spirit indwells in every person who obeys the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I believe that the miraculous workings of Jesus and the Holy Spirit through the miraculous empowerment of humans has ceased. God answers the prayers of His saints and is very active in His Church and in our world, but He no longer gives miraculous power to any human being, Christian or non-Christian.
I believe that the Holy Spirit lives within each Christian, but the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is not an empowerment of that Christian to perform any miraculous deed.
I believe that God the Father, Jesus the Christ and the Holy Spirit are and have always been active in the affairs of humankind, directing His creation to His predetermined end.
I believe that there is an eternal heaven for the saved in Jesus Christ and an eternal hell or damnation for all persons who do not obey the gospel of Jesus Christ and die faithfully in Christ.
I believe that the initial existence of all things, living and non-living came into being by the direct command or creative power of God Almighty. That this initial creation did not come about through evolutionary or naturalistic means but came into being instantly by the direct power of God. Inherent in the initial creation of living things is the means or process by which such things reproduce themselves.
I believe that the mission of the Church is the mission of Jesus the Christ, namely to seek and to save the lost, and that this mission is not just domestic but global. Hence the church has an obligation to include in its vision a desire to take the gospel message to the whole world.
I believe that intrinsic to the Church’s mission is exemplification of the concern Jesus Christ had for the social well-being of all people. Hence the Church should also concern itself with service to the community and justice in the community.
I believe that each person has imbedded in his/her soul, the image of God; consequently, the highest form of physical living creatures are humans and are therefore to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, age or behavior.
I believe whatever the Bible teaches even when such teachings are controversial and unpopular.
